Leading international property consultancy, EC Harris, has appointed Patrick Leniston as Country Manager in France to strengthen the firm in that region.

Leading international property consultancy, EC Harris, has appointed Patrick Leniston as Country Manager in France to strengthen the firm in that region.

In his new role, Patrick will seek to continue the team's existing success in the areas of lenders and investors (LandI), corporate real estate (CRE) and commercial development, and expand its pan-European client base.

Patrick, who is currently a Senior Consultant and Associate with EC Harris in France, will take responsibility for the 20-strong Paris office, with effect from May 1, 2006.

He will replace Matthew Cutts, currently Country Manager in France, who has relocated to EC Harris' London office to take up a full-time role as Head of Lenders and Investors.

Patrick, a dual national, has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton and from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees in Paris.

He previously worked for Citex in France with clients, such as Tesco, PGL, Banco Nationale del Lavoro and Cable and Wireless.

He is also a member of the International Facility Management Association.

Since joining EC Harris in 2003, Patrick has developed the CRE sector in France with clients including Royal Bank of Scotland, Motorola, Agilent and Credit Suisse.

Matthew Cutts has worked for EC Harris in various roles in the firm's Hong Kong, London and Paris offices.

He has significant experience in providing project management and all aspects of quantity surveying for a wide variety of public and commercial clients.

His experience covers both building and civil engineering schemes and includes preparing feasibility studies, cost planning, and advising on procurement rates.

Recent high-profile projects that the Paris office have been involved in include:.

* Providing technical risk management services to Tischman Speyer for the acquisition of a new 135,000m2 mixed-use property (one of the largest buildings of its type in Europe).

* Providing technical risk, project and cost management services to CBRE Investors French team on a new office acquisition requiring commercial development works.

* Providing project, cost and move management services to Motorola for the construction of a new facility in Toulouse.
