Record output for the residential market
The prospects for the private residential market across Europe are positive, according to leading international consultants EC Harris.
EC Harris was selected by Cornwall Council because of its extensive knowledge of the government's academies programme, demonstrating specific skills in non traditional cost management and partnering schemes.
In particular the council is looking for advice on the funding processes for the BSF programme, something which EC Harris is particularly well suited to as it is involved in a third of all the new academies being built.
Allan Piper, Partner at EC Harris, said: "We're really pleased with this win as it plays to EC Harris' strengths, being so heavily involved in the academies programme".
"We are able to provide a really joined-up approach whereby experience and skills learned from other projects are applied and while we liaise closely with London on certain aspects, the local implementation becomes critical and this is where we're able to deliver".
In a further win for EC Harris in the South West, it has also been announced that the company has been retained by the DfES to perform a PM role on the 960 pupil Hengrove performing arts academy in Bristol, which is being sponsored by Oasis.
