Graham Matthew of EC Harris said: "Currently no vision for the Thames Gateway exists and although a great deal of thinking is being put into the Thames Gateway initiative, much of it lacks any cohesion because of the lack of vision".

"Our vision not only builds on the legacy of the 2012 Olympics, but delivers the Government's housing targets with space to spare and offers the only credible answer to London's growth needs".
Following today's event, a parliamentary briefing sponsored by the Right Honourable Frank Dobson MP will be held on July 4 at Portcullis House to help seek the support of Central Government for the Consortium's vision for the Thames Gateway.
