EC Harris public sector wins
EC Harris has further reinforced its relationship with the public sector in Wales with three significant wins in the last month.
The Cardiff office of international property and construction consultants EC Harris has further reinforced its relationship with the public sector in Wales with three significant wins in the last month.
All have been gained by securing framework agreements with the relevant governing bodies.
Local knowledge and in-depth health sector experience helped the firm to secure the Trust Cost Advisor role for the development of 'Front of House' services at Bronglais Hospital Aberystwyth, involving the extension and modification of the existing Accident and Emergency department.
The scheme, on behalf of Ceredigion and Mid Wales NHS Trust, is worth around £10m and represents the first phase of a proposed £36m capital investment programme in enhanced healthcare facilities for the Trust.
EC Harris were appointed through the Trust Cost Advisor framework with Welsh Health Estates, which runs for four years from July 2006 and relates to the investment of around £300m per annum in NHS infrastructure in Wales.
The second success concerns a new office development for the Welsh Assembly Government at Llandudno Junction.
EC Harris will act as consultants for the scheme, providing project management, planning supervision, cost management and supervision of the scheme, which is scheduled for completion in 2008.
Again, the project was won via a framework agreement secured in April with Value Wales Capital and Property (formerly the Estates Division of the Welsh Assembly Government).
The third win sees EC Harris appointed as framework Financial and Contractual Services Consultants to Transport Wales, a division of the National Assembly for Wales responsible for capital investment in transportation infrastructure included trunk roads and rail.
The framework runs for four years and involves the provision of contract management and cost advice to major transport schemes in Wales.
"All three wins highlight the depth of our understanding of local issues, backed by a broad knowledge of the various sector-based challenges facing each of the clients," said EC Harris Partner Rob Evans, who leads the Cardiff office and operations in Wales.
"Our team in Wales is looking forward to deepening relationships as the individual projects develop." -Ends-.
