By their very nature, court buildings operate with very different priorities, compared to other buildings, taking account of security issues and the financial implications of any facilities being out of use.
"There has been continual dialogue with EC Harris and HMCS to fully understand our clients' needs and then develop and evolve our service provision and contract management accordingly.
The regular communication has made a significant contribution to the strength of the relationship," commented Cofathec's UK Chief Executive Richard Derry.
Over the contract period, KPIs relating to MandE maintenance have been continually developed and fine-tuned, as well as being linked to a computerised help desk, developed and operated by EC Harris.
This has provided more accurate measurement, more meaningful reporting and clearer visibility of performance.
In fact, this initiative has been so successful it is now being used as a template for future MandE contracts across the HMCS estate.
"We have now moved from basic, functional reporting that just notes failures to meaningful, performance-based information that greatly facilitates the decision making process," Giles Sudderick concluded.
