News of the seminar, which follows Intersec Dubai, comes as EC Harris launches its health and safety service to the Middle East market.

IOSH has recently opened its first branch in the Middle East and Chris Horn, Chairman of IOSH in the Middle East, spoke at the seminar on the IOSH mission and plans to increase safety standards.
IOSH is Europe's leading body for health and safety professionals and an independent not-for-profit organisation aimed at regulating and steering the profession, maintaining standards and providing impartial, authoritative guidance on health and safety issues.
Also on the seminar panel were Mohamed Hamed, HSEQ Manager, from Mirdiff Safety and Security Consultants, who spoke on what the changes to legislation in Dubai will mean.
Joining him were lawyer Jeremy Curran from Clyde and Co, who provided a background to the legislative framework in which the health and safety obligations exist, and Mark Warrington, Vice-President of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) for PCFC, on how effective management is key to achieving better EHS performance.
Phil James added, "The speakers we put together were able to discuss the methods needed to manage businesses in the UAE more effectively and outline the legal obligations and liabilities under the new regulations.".
