International consultancy EC Harris has secured three prestigious framework appointments with the British Museum.

The three frameworks are for building surveying, project management and CDM Coordination and will run for five years with a possible two-year extension "The British Museum has exceedingly high standards and we are very pleased with this appointment", said Robert Van-Loo, Partner at EC Harris

"Not only is the building Grade 1 listed - with all the issues and challenges that presents - but it houses a priceless collection of unique objects and works of art in a building visited by millions of people a year".

"Although this a challenge as a multi-disciplinary firm we are well equipped to manage this type of opportunity through our unique service capability".

EC Harris has a long established track record of working with museums and other high profile cultural sites, as well as the British Museum.

Amongst other commissions, EC Harris were the project managers for the move of the books when the British Library was relocated from the British Museum to the new purpose built St Pancras site.
