"These included wanting to control both the transfer of noise between separate room spaces around the building, and reverberation within the occupied spaces.
After considering a number of Ecophon products we decided to employ Advantage E for the sound absorption while installing a barrier quilt in the void above.
We also favoured the Advantage due to its ability to resist damage when being handled." Advantage owes its strength and durability to the inclusion of particularly long strand, spun glass fibres.
This construction also serves to make the tiles light in weight and offers the specifier well defined arises that will resist chipping or crumbling during repeated demounting operations for M and E service access.
In addition to the large quantity of Advantage installed within open plan and cellular office areas, as well as circulation areas, Ecophon also supplied the fit out contractors with 700 square metres of its Hygiene Performance tiles for the restaurant/canteen.
