The new wing of the Crumlin Children's Hospital has been built by Bowen Construction with Dublin based Robinson Keefe Devane (RKD Architects) chosen as the lead design consultant on the project.
Specialist sub-contractor, Kehoe Acoustics, installed close to 3000 square metres of the Meditec E in units such as EEG, Dermatology and a Hepatitis C clinic, as well as spanning corridors with the plank-style Focus XL system.
The Project Architect, Michael Lahiffe, comments: "I feel that instead of using a standard 'six by six' in areas like corridors it looks a far neater job to use the plank-type ceiling.
The units also fitted in very well with the main atrium, giving a very attractive look all the way round.
