Better light, lower noise at bus station
A unique arrangement of Ecophon Light Coffers with Focus ceiling system has given Telford Bus Station architectural detail, as well as reduced noise and reverberation times and improved lighting.
The public perception of town bus stations is understandably poor To many, they are threatening places and suffer from the double problems of poor lighting and strong echoes, caused by long reverberation times, adding to the feeling of vulnerability
At the Borough of Telford and Wrekin, however, Building Surveyors and Architects have turned a 1970s building and concourse into a pleasant amenity with an inviting environment.
Telford Bus Station had, over many years, been plagued with vandalism and was in need of a 21st century makeover.
Without major reconstruction, the problems of light and sound were diminished with a single solution - the use of an Ecophon ceiling.
