Super G wall panels for York community
project
New community hall on the outskirts of York has featured the use of special wall panels from the range of Ecophon Limited, specified to help control sound levels in the multi-purpose hall.
The new structure, an extension to the Rufforth Primary School in Rufforth, has been designed by the City of York's own architects department and built by locally based Graves Construction Limited The main contractor took responsibility for the installation of the Ecophon Super G Wall Panels which are easy to fix and handle

The architect on the project for York City Council, Mr David Ashbridge, comments: "This is an extension to an existing primary school: a new community hall that will be used both by the school and the local community, big enough for a single badminton court, and is steel framed with blockwork, brickwork and cedar cladding.
"We have used Ecophon ceilings and occasionally the company's wall panels on past projects, especially in the education environment, and found them to perform well.
In addition to the roof supplier's acoustic roof lining in the Hall we installed the Super G wall panels at high level to cut down on the reverberation time." The building is now complete and ready to play an important role in the life of the school as well as hosting after hours activities.
