Fabricator Padiham Glass has extended its factory to house a state-of-the art fully automated Forel line.

Lancashire-based fabricator Padiham Glass has extended its factory extended by 10,000 ft2 to house a state-of-the art fully automated Forel line The line is part of an ongoing investment programme into Edgetech's warm edge Super Spacer which includes new premises and plant worth £2 million

The programme began two years ago but this latest £1 million investment has added the finishing touches to the strategic expansion plans.

Jeremy Kemp, Operations Director at Padiham, explains the difference this investment will make to the company's future: "We started looking at warm edge technology three years ago, but back then you could only apply it manually - the technology was not available".

"But with our new fully automated Forel machine and premises of 35,000 ft2 we are ready to go full steam ahead".

"Our manufacturing capacity will increase to 900-1000 units per shift".
