Since choosing Edgetech's Super Spacer, Clayton Glass has attracted new customers specifically looking for units with warm edge technology.

Since choosing Edgetech's Super Spacer, Durham-based sealed unit manufacturer Clayton Glass has attracted new customers specifically looking for units with warm edge technology "We gave Edgetech a trial run first," says Ryan Green, Managing Director of Clayton Glass, "and also looked at other spacer bars on the market

But we found that Edgetech machinery took up less space than the alternatives needed.

The stunning door pictured was manufactured by timber craftsmen Carey and Fox, and required a level of internal fretwork that would have been impossible with any other system".

"Warm edge technology can achieve a higher rated window," continues Ryan and for our more technically demanding customers, opens up a new range of possibilities as an integra bar".

Ryan first saw Edgetech at Glassex 2003, "but in the last year Edgetech and the Super Spacer have become more prominent in the industry, and are now household names among installers and fabricators.

We manufacture 10,000 glass units a week with 10% either shaped or with internal bar systems, both of which we can now manufacture with Edgetech thanks to its improved versatility and performance.

"In a difficult market we saw a 12% increase on annual turnover across 2005, to approximately £7 million - with Edgetech's help we hope to make the same increase in 2006.".
