Modus Group has awarded a GBP 44,000 contract for new management software to EVision, the company that has developed Build-IT, the construction-specific software system.

A multi-disciplinary organisation providing a range of services for the creation and support of effective business environments and complex technical facilities, Modus group is based in central London.

Founded in 1992, Modus is one of the top 20 fastest growing companies in the UK with a turnover in excess of GBP 45 million and over 80 full time professionals at its offices in London and Heathrow.

Modus aims to offer a complete range of skills and services related to the occupation and use of buildings.

At the core of the Group's activities is a design and construction team operating in a number of sectors.

Build-IT will play an important part in helping Modus to expand and work better for clients.

"We work across a wide range of disciplines and Build-IT will allow us to coordinate and manage the breadth of our business more easily," says Finance Director Roger Potter.

"We create some of the most original and stunning office and technical facilities in the UK, and we have chosen Build-IT because it will help us to focus on supplying exciting environments to many more clients," he says.

"We will have access to more complex, real-time management information than is available through our existing IT system".

"We will also be able to quote more quickly when clients come to us with possible work, and generally further improve how we work with customers and our suppliers," says Mr Potter.

"Modus was looking for a management information system that would provide an effective means of underpinning the diversity of work is covers," explains Howard Myers, Director of EVision.

"Build-IT is based on a Microsoft platform, has been selected by the IT giant to deliver key solutions in the construction and property vertical market, and presents information in a Microsoft Windows environment that users find versatile and easy to use.
