EVision, the software company chosen by Microsoft to spearhead expansion into the UK construction market, has appointed Wendy McMurray as its Technical Director This is a new appointment for EVision and reflects its growth based on the success of its construction-specific management information software, Build-IT

Demand for Build-IT has seen EVision, headquartered in Livingston, establish offices in Altrincham and London in the last year, and over 80 construction industry companies now use this software.

"Wendy will lead the teams responsible for software support and development, dividing her time approximately one third and two thirds, respectively, in these disciplines," explains managing director, Tom Mill.

"She has been with the company for four years now and we believe we are very fortunate to have someone of her calibre as a key member of the team.

Her technical capability is first class and she will also continue to head our user group in addition to her other responsibilities.

"One of her main roles is to further develop Build-IT and she will also be looking at Microsoft products and identifying the best means by which we can apply these to the benefit of our clients".

Wendy McMurray originally joined EVision in 2001 as a consultant and was promoted to Consulting Manager and then to Product Manager in 2004.

Prior to joining EVision, she worked as a software consultant for two companies based in the West of Scotland.

"Obviously I am very pleased to become a director with EVision," comments Wendy McMurray.

"This is a great opportunity to have major input to the development of a software product that is making significant inroads into a key industry.

The task of maintaining Build-IT's evolution is very interesting from a technological standpoint, and I think there is considerable scope to enhance its offering even further.".
