Elements Europe will be showcasing its modular structure and pod technologies at the Grand Design Live exhibition.

Ty Unnos two-storey modular house was constructed in less than 12 hours in June by Elements Europe who partnered with the Shropshire Constructing Excellence Club.

Ty Unnos literally translates from Welsh as 'House Overnight'.

Ty Unnos is made from low-density timber and a laminating process and beam, column and joist arrangements provide a sturdy, load-bearing structure.

"Ty Unnos is a quality modular alternative system with the capability to provide residential accommodation for the private, social and affordable housing sectors," said Project Manager Kevin Arthur.

"It offers the purchaser the highest factory manufactured quality while exceeding the government's parameters for sustainable development".

"Ty Unnos will make a real difference in the provision of affordable properties and the timing could not be better as the property market begins to see signs of improvement".

Elements Europe will also be exhibiting Roompod at the event, an integrated and structurally load bearing volumetric modular solution for applications up to 12 storeys.

Grand Designs Live will be held at the Birmingham NEC from 9-11th October.
