Elkay double win at Electrical Industry Awards

Elkay Electrical scooped two of the top awards at The Electrical Industry Awards 2008, sponsored by the Electrical Times and recently held in London.

Taking the award for Innovative Test and Measurement Product of the Year was the carboncalc, while the welcomelight won the Innovative Lighting Product of the Year award, making it two exclusive 'Elie' trophies for Elkay Electrical.

Elkay's welcomelight is a retrofit PIR and security timer that instantly enhances the capabilities of an ordinary light switch turning it into a multifunctional devise.

It automatically turns on the lights when a room is entered and turns them off after a set period, once the room has been vacated.

In security mode welcomelight will turn the lights on to simulate occupancy as darkness falls.

Taking the Innovative Test and Measurement Product of the Year, the Elkay carboncalc is a unique hand-held device that allows users to calculate current energy consumption of a room then the annual energy bill and associated carbon emissions generated.
