Prior to decanting staff from the original East Oxford Health Centre, elementa carried out a number of essential mechanical and electrical services to Raglan House to include lighting, air conditioning and ventilation as well as fire and intruder alarms, ensuring a seamless transition for the health care professionals.
The engineers' sustainable design for the new East Oxford Health Centre comprises state-of-the-art low-energy solutions such as efficient lighting and heating together with natural ventilation designed to ensure internal summertime temperatures do not exceed 26 degrees centigrade for 2.5% of the occupied year.
Comprising 2 different GP practices, spacious waiting room and adjacent multi-purpose room, the new primary health care centre will also include a minor surgery suite, offices, space for community nurses, dental practice, meeting facilities, out of hours surgery, retail and pharmacy as well as secure underground parking.

RIBA Approval For Bauer's Flood CPD
The first CPD on flooding to be accredited by RIBA has been launched by Bauer Inner City.
The new primary care facility, which aims to kick-start the overall regeneration of the area, is due for completion in September 2006.
And on the Blackbird Leys Estate in Dunnock Way, the company has again been appointed M+E consultant for the construction of a GBP4.5 million new-build medical centre comprising GP practices, dental practice and support accommodation.
The building is due for completion in December 2005.
