Commonfield invest in Elumatec CNC machine
Commonfield Doors invest in new machinery from the leading fabrication systems supplier and manufacturer, Elumatec.
"We chose Elumatec for its reputation for excellence, quality and service, and for the reliability of the product range," comments Gary Wadds of JMW.
"Since it was installed, it has helped us to improve productivity and to increase profitability and now that the foreseen expansion has come about through heightened interest in the aluminium market, we are relocating our business to a factory twice the size of the existing one in order to cope with demand." Figuring heavily in the expansion plans is a new SBZ140 CNC profiling machine, which will be installed once the new factory is up and running.
"This new machine has been specified for a number of reasons," continues Gary.
"It will help us to accommodate demand quickly and accurately and it will perform the same role as the first machine, instead of working a two shift rota".
"Because we know how the system works, we have been able to train up operatives in-house in preparation for the arrival of the SBZ140." Operating for over 40 years, JMW is a long established family business based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The company concentrates on fabricating and installing architectural aluminium systems for a diverse variety of projects, including prestigious PFI developments including Cleveland and Redcar, Gateshead and its current scheme in Newcastle.
Elumatec's dedication to the aluminium market was demonstrated last year, when the company held a three day show, focused specifically on the current growth in the aluminium sector and the huge market potential which still exists.
It gave exhibitors and visitors an ideal forum to discuss new opportunities and negotiate new business, and with a range of equipment and machinery for the fabrication of aluminium, proved the company's ability to supply the very latest machinery to the industry.
