Free seminars help manage hazardous waste
Construction businesses are being urged to take advantage of a series of free seminars which will demonstrate how to cost effectively adapt to new hazardous waste regulations.
Mike Payne, Envirowise Construction specialist, says: "Not only can a SWMP help minimise site waste and reduce the costs of waste management, it can give companies better control of regulatory risks relating to site waste and materials.
These workshops will provide everyone from site managers, planners and buyers with specialist advice on how to manage the reduction, re-use and recycling of materials and products, both on and off site.
"Attendees will also receive advice on identifying the most appropriate tools, guidance and case study material to help them develop a SWMP which meets their specific needs.
Getting up-to-date and taking voluntary action now could help reduce the potential cost and impact of compliance." The free events will be taking place between 9.30am and 3.15pm on the following dates:.
