Encompas has been awarded a prestigious contract to provide Underfloor Heating and Heat Pumps to a flag ship regional centre for car sales and servicing in Stafford.
The showroom, part of the Arnold Clark group, is one of the largest Underfloor Heating systems and cooling zones Encompas has installed to date The installation covers a massive 4,635m2 area

Encompas explain installing underfloor heating is a relatively straightforward job following their guide.
This extensive open area was specified with particular requirements to maximize energy efficiency whilst meeting the precise construction requirements of the project.
The Underfloor Heating system will deliver a 210kW heating load and a 120kW cooling load.
Heat Pumps deliver the majority of the heating load topped up at peak times by gas-fired boilers.
The heat pumps provide the cooling requirement.
40 boreholes provide the geothermal energy for the system, located in the exterior car forecourt and parking areas.
The showroom had particular floor weight loading requirements and so careful consideration was given to the floor construction.
In particular one of the properties of the floor insulation was high compressive strength, whilst the screed will need to endure a high loading capacity.
