Heating the way to a greener future
Encompas awarded contract to supply ground source heat pumps and an underfloor heating system for the new authentic 1913 Lamp Cabin at Beamish Museum in County Durham.
The Lamp Cabin will provide a base for the museum's collection of miners' lamps and other mining artefacts, many of which have not been on display to visitors before Mr Michael Watts, M.D.of Encompas commented, "We are delighted to be involved in this project"

Encompas - the complete green solution
Encompas are employing additional installation engineers rather than rely on sub-contractors, to meet the increased demand for their Ground Source Heat Pumps.
"It is interesting and somewhat ironic that we are installing a state of the art renewable heating system in a historic building project".
The installation will deliver 178m 2 of under floor heating served by a NIBE 8kw single phase ground source heat pump, ground heat gathered by 2 x 200m collector loops.
Temperature control will also feature tamper proof thermostats located in the exhibition space.
The installation will be completed by October 2008, and the Lamp Cabin will be open to visitors in spring 2009.
The project is part of the development of The Colliery Village and has received funding from HLF, ERDF, County Durham Economic Partnership, ONE NorthEast, DCMS and The Banks Community Fund.
