Issues such as DDA compliance and a requirement for more services and facilities resulted in the project.

Structural columns in the centre's new restaurant and coffee shop needed to be covered as part of the redevelopment.

Five 300mm diameter n-case column casings at 3m high were supplied by Encasement.

Colour collars were also supplied which were installed by the contractors onto octagonal plinths tiled to match the floor finish and integrate with the overall design.

Anita Grodkiewicz, the centre's development manager, said: "The light coloured column casings add contrast to the dark tiled floor and help create a pleasant relaxing environment".
