Euroclad top off a dream

Euroclad has provided an aluminium Euroseam roof to provide the finishing touch at the unique Palm Beach house in Devon, recently featured on Channel 4's 'Grand Designs'.

Euroclad, one of the UK's leading roofing and cladding manufacturers, has provided an aluminium Euroseam roof to provide the finishing touch at the unique Palm Beach house in Devon, recently featured on Channel 4's 'Grand Designs' Comprised of a series of interlocking boxes and a curved deck, the house extends out towards the sea

Dramatic double-height windows to the front and rear of the house add to the contemporary appearance and ensure that as much sunshine as possible is let in.

The local planning officer insisted that the build was of the highest quality, and Euroseam complied with the stringent requirements.

Euroclad's bespoke aluminium Euroseam roof was rolled on-site and installed over a timber deck.

The beachfront location of the project and adverse weather conditions meant that it was necessary for the roofing to be made of a hardwearing non-corrosive material such as aluminium.

The mechanically produced 75mm deep seams, anti capillary groove and low profile pan allows excellent drainage and increases the superb weatherability.

Due to Euroseam's 'zipping-up' principle the sheet side laps are closed over supporting halters, allowing free movement under thermal expansion, no external penetration of the sheet, no end laps and low maintenance performance.

Inspired by a Miami-style beach house, the Palm Beach self build project overlooks the south Devon coast from the beachfront plot.

Euroseam demonstrated a cost effective roofing solution with high design capabilities and performance. Request a free brochure from Euroclad ...
