Euroclad's 2006 drawing competition has been won by Mark Prizeman for a design entitled 'Pynchon's Progress'.

Euroclad's 2006 drawing competition has been won by Mark Prizeman for a design entitled 'Pynchon's Progress' Entrants to the competition were asked to sketch a proposal for the future for Brighton's West Pier

Chosen by judges Piers Gough of CZWG and Sadie Morgan of de Rijke Marsh Morgan, the winning entry was described by its designer as 'narrative journey with references manifested in built form.

Inhabited and educational, an extension to the dream of Brighton'.

Tim Goode won second prize for his witty entry 'Le Grand Project', and Richard Lindley was awarded third prize for 'The Mirror Pier'.

Eight further entries were highly commended.

Andrew Hickin, Sales and Marketing Director of Euroclad was amazed at the variety of the entries: "Clearly the competition struck a chord with the architectural community".

"The quality and quantity of entries was brilliant - every angle of this challenge seems to have been explored".
