Eternit Twosome Faces The Cameras

Two faces of the leading roofing products manufacturer Eternit Building Materials were caught on camera for the current ITV series Building The Dream.

Martin Fewtrell, sales director of Eternit's clay tiles division, and Trevor Perks, area sales manager, were filmed providing the 12 pairs of contestants in the programme with hands-on tips and advice on how to lay a plain clay tile roof Eternit's double-cambered Acme plain tiles, in Natural Orange colour, were specified by architect Angela Brady for the 300m2, 42deg pitch roof of the £1/2m house that is the focus of the show

Building The Dream went on air on April 4th, presented by celebrity designer Linda Barker with Angela Brady and builder in charge Kevin Jackson who is managing the project, but it is the 12 pairs of contestants who are the stars.

They are trading their normal lives for several months on a building site at Witham Friary near Bath where they have to build and fit out a luxury, hi-tech barn-style home, complete with 18,000 Eternit roof tiles.

They gradually vote off the fellow contestants they feel are not pulling their weight until the final on July 2nd when viewers decide which of the two remaining couples will win the house. Request free introductory details about products from Marley Eternit ...

Eternit's Martin Fewtrell said: "Even with the incentive, they did seem genuinely enthusiastic about this part of the project and some even showed potential as professional roofers.".
