Eternit Tiles Help Transform Hospital
A former hospital has been transformed into a flagship new community of new build and refurbished homes with a little help from Eternit Building Materials' natural clay plain roof tiles.
Burley Developments Ltd specified Eternit's Acme tiles in Red Smooth colour for the roofs and garages of more than 100 Yorkshire stone properties built by David Wilson Homes at Scalebor Park in Burley in Wharfedale, near Ilkley in West Yorkshire Boasting spectacular views across the Yorkshire moors, as well as its own cricket ground and football pitch, the refurbished part of the development comprises one and two-bedroomed apartments in the late 1800s hospital buildings that include a clock tower

Eternit Slates' Guide To Heavenly Roofs
Eternit Slates, the market leader in double-lap slating, has launched a new detailed guide containing information on its wide range of 'heavenly' slates.
The new-build part comprises two-bedroomed balconied mews houses and three-bedroomed homes.
In Scalebor Square, three-storey townhouses priced from £400,000 have been arranged in an Edwardian-style courtyard with a feature square surrounded by mature evergreen trees.
The development features some of the largest homes in David Wilson Homes' portfolio - four, five and six-bedroomed detached houses, the latter having a virtually self-contained second floor and selling for more than £500,000.
The nine-strong, machine-made Acme range is produced in sand-faced versions as well as smooth like the Red Smooth that Bracknell Roofing Company Ltd fixed at Scalebor Park.
The former is surfaced with selected sand before firing to add even more colour and texture.
Dave Hoyland, technical director for David Wilson Homes' northern region, said: "Working on such a unique scheme demanded a fitting product solution and the Acme tiles which we specified in Red Smooth colour have seamlessly blended in with the historical character of the development.
