Cladding Design Guide launched by Marley
Eternit

Marley Eternit has produced a cladding design guide that incorporates all of its decorative rainscreen panels and high performance building boards.

For the first time ever, Marley Eternit has produced a cladding design guide that incorporates all of its decorative rainscreen panels and high performance building boards The 64-page, full-colour A4 guide advises architects, specifiers and contractors alike on the different applications for each of the eight rainscreen cladding panels and four building boards as well as technical data, colours and fixings

Complemented by a package of benefits ranging from CAD facilities and system design to on-site assistance, the lightweight rainscreen cladding range incorporates fibre cement, high pressure laminate, aluminium composite and aggregate faced panels.

Marley Eternit's fibre cement range of rainscreen cladding is five-strong and the most recent addition is Natura.

This is a through-coloured fibre cement panel that was designed in response to specifiers looking for products with a natural aspect.

Well-established in Europe, it is available in more than 20 colours.

Pelicolor is a fully compressed panel with a highly glazed, granular finish that is suitable for a wide range of high-quality facade applications and is available in 17 standard colours as well as any factory-approved RAL colour.

Multiclad is an external grade panel suitable for general cladding that is available in 22 colours with special colours available on request, while Glasal is a fully compressed, autoclaved rigid sheet with an optically flat, semi-matt mineral enamel surface that is unrivalled among cladding panels and is ideal for use in aggressive environments.

Lamina External is the high pressure laminate suitable for external new build or refurbishment applications that comprises resin impregnated cellulose faced with melamine incorporating a unique UV resistant surface that has undergone chemical cross linking to guarantee longevity.

It is available in a range of more than 60 metallic, wood grain and plain colours.

Reynobond is an aluminium composite panel with an exceptional level of flatness that is easy to fabricate due to its lightness, rigidity and shock resistant properties and is available in more than 20 colours.

Agrestone is a glass fibre reinforced polyester resin cladding panel manufactured to provide a surface finish of natural stone.

Available in 10 natural stone colours and three aggregate sizes, it is suitable for a wide range of applications from infill panels to complete high rise overcladding as well as internal wall linings.

Weatherboard is the ideal low-maintenance, rot-free alternative to traditional timber weatherboarding or PVCu that is simple to install and is available in three finishes - original, smooth and country - and in a range of 22 factory applied colours.

It can also be supplied natural for painting or staining on site.

The cladding design guide also advises on the many fixing systems available for the rainscreen ranges, varying from timber battens, structural adhesives and metal components to trays and cassettes with either visible or secret fixings using nails, screws or rivets.

The building boards section of the cladding design guide incorporates four products - moisture-resistant BluClad for render, the chipboard alternative Duripanel for general purpose and load bearing applications, water resistant Tileboard for tile backing, and Paintboard for soffits and fascias, infill panels and dormer cheeks.
