Marley Eternit weatherboard is another storey
Fibre cement Weatherboard from Marley Eternit has played an 'integral' part in getting planning approval for a landmark three-storey development.
This figure excludes the costs of land, infrastructure, development finance and sales and marketing.
However, Redrow has already more than demonstrated it is capable of achieving this with its Debut range of Weatherboard clad affordable starter homes which sold inclusive of full development costs on its first release at Willans Green, Rugby, with prices from less than £50,000.
The 103 Debut units have been built on the former site of a clay pit and brickworks which was more recently used as a tip for foundry sand from an adjacent engineering firm.

Architects Miller Hughes Associates specified Weatherboard in black and mahogany wood stain for aspects of the Woldhurst Manor development by Bloor Homes.
The show homes on this development were completed within two months.
The 2.5-acre site plays host to a variety of homes, ranging from one and two-bedroomed to two and three-storey homes.
Following a Halifax survey that showed the average priced homes in over 90% of UK towns were beyond the means of people on average salaries, Redrow worked hard to demonstrate the benefits of the Debut concept and received tremendous support from Rugby Borough Council.
The planning application received unanimous approval within a relatively short three months.
The fact that almost all of the units were sold on the day they were released has gone some way to proving the need and more Debut schemes are now being introduced across the UK, with Redrow's ultimate target being 2,000 a year by 2010.
When planning permission was first granted for Debut at Rugby, Cllr Gordon Collett, Rugby Borough Council's portfolio holder for borough development, said: "In these days of spiralling house prices, radical and innovative solutions have to be found if young people and those on lower incomes are to get a foot on the property ladder.
We are confident the Debut range provides one such solution by maximising the use of land and simplifying construction while maintaining environmental quality." Marley Eternit is the exclusive supplier of Weatherboard for the Debut range of homes and at Willans Green it has been used in the colours blue-grey and ivory with aluminium corners on the first and second-storey elevations to complement brickwork on the ground floors.
The Debut brief, set more than six months before John Prescott announced his competition, aims to provide affordable homes that are contemporary in design, achieve a BRE Ecohomes "excellent" rating and creates communities that have a sense of place and encourage a neighbourly spirit.
Off-site manufacture using a mixture of traditional and modern materials improves building quality and efficiency and reduces maintenance.
Not that much maintenance, if any, will be required on the BBA-accredited Weatherboard as it is resistant to weather, rot and vermin as well as fire (Class O performance).
Nigel Smith, product development director for Redrow who have used Marley Eternit Weatherboard on previous projects, said: "We specified the Marley Eternit Weatherboard for a host of reasons, including the wide range of colours available, its durability, the lightness of the material and its inert characteristics.
This was backed up by excellent technical support and service from Marley Eternit.
"Marley Eternit Weatherboard can either be used to provide contrast or to blend in with brickwork as design demands. Request a free brochure from Marley Eternit ...
