Marley Eternit colourful weather eye on
the future

Marley Eternit is making specification of its popular fibre cement Weatherboard cladding even easier by increasing the standard range of colours.

Marley Eternit is making specification of its popular fibre cement Weatherboard cladding even easier by increasing the standard range of colours The fibre cement specialist was the first to bring the shiplap-style panels to the UK seven years ago but over the past few years particularly it has become much sought after for the proliferation of new England-style residential developments

Specified frequently by most of the major housebuilders, and most recently by Redrow Homes for its Debut range of starter homes for under £50,000, it has also been specified by architects for commercial projects such as Glasgow Rangers' training ground.

Originally available in six colours as well as natural, which could be painted or stained like wood on site, the Weatherboard range of factory-applied colours is now 22-strong although as before, any BS colour can be supplied subject to a minimum quantity.

The colour range extension is part of Marley Eternit's current focus on its fibre cement cladding portfolio, and like the other products, Weatherboard is low maintenance and resistant to weather, rot, vermin and fire, meeting the standards of Class 0 (Building regulations) and A2-s1-d0 (EN 13501-1) as well as BBA certified.

Giving the appearance of sawn cedar but wider at 190mm than other similar products, it is also acoustically insulating and easy to install, making it ideal for use where traditional timber boards might be considered, especially for facades and window and door surrounds.
