Pure roofing from Marley Eternit

Marley Eternit has launched 'Pure Roofing', a 182 page informative technical manual focussing on the design, detailing and specification of tiles and slates for pitched roofs.

Roof tile manufacturers must improve the technical information and support they provide to architects and other specifiers, according to the latest research findings from Marley Eternit The research undertaken with over 200 architects and housebuilders highlighted the need for a modern comprehensive technical manual for roofing design and specification

On the back of the findings, Marley Eternit has launched 'Pure Roofing', a 182 page informative technical manual focussing on the design, detailing and specification of tiles and slates for pitched roofs.

To assist specifiers with their design plans, the manual also includes a CD Rom with over 2,500 CAD details.

Paul Reed, marketing director at Marley Eternit, explains: "When we carried out the research we were surprised to find that many specifiers were still relying on older reference materials.

There hasn't been a comprehensive technical manual launched in the last fifteen years and with the merger of Marley and Eternit, we felt it was the perfect opportunity to launch 'Pure Roofing'.

"The book is not designed just as a guide to our products but as a comprehensive manual giving specifiers all the information they need to help with both designing and specifying products for pitched roofs".

The technical manual includes a detailed section on design considerations, providing information about the key issues to consider when designing and specifying for pitched roofs.

A separate design detailing section includes a series of typical design details to cover all standard constructions for the eaves, verge, ridge, valley and hip, together with vertical tiling and side abutments.

Pure Roofing also helps to guide specifiers through the ever increasing environmental guidelines, with advice on best practice, measuring success and assessing the sustainability of buildings.

It includes clear and concise information on the whole range of Marley Eternit tiles, slates and accessories, as well as details on the properties and performance of clay, concrete and fibre cement as roof materials. Request a free brochure from Marley Eternit ...
