East Sussex County Council created a natural look roof for the new public library in the historical town of Lewes, by turning to Marley Eternit and its range of Acme clay plain tiles.

Contractors used a random mix of both tiles, in an 80:20 proportion, to create an authentic blend of colours for the seven pitched roofs over an 800 square metre area.
Used in countless projects where a rich and natural look is important, the Acme double cambered clay plain tile is easy to install and is durable enough to withstand the elements of the Sussex coast.
The double camber helps to discharge water more effectively and break up the roofline, adding greater texture to each tile course.
