Marley Eternit clay tiles ideal for
restoration

Marley Eternit's clay tiles have been used to restore three historic properties in Wilmslow.

The seven acre site developed by Eatonfield saw the restoration of a 19th century half-timbered mansion house, coach house and small cottage on Stanneylands Road, overlooking the River Dean Specifiers chose Marley Eternit's single camber Acme clay plain tiles to create an authentic look for this exclusive development

Brian Hughes, from Eatonfield explains: "Our in-house design team specified the Acme clay tiles because we wanted to achieve the visual appeal of a traditional roof with ease of fitting and time-efficiency".

"With this development, our aim was to extend and refurbish the properties in a manner befitting their location in protected woodland, so we wanted to choose a roofing material that blended in with both the natural and historical surroundings.

The finished result is very impressive".

Roofing contractors Maxiflow used nearly 80,000 Marley Eternit Red Smooth single camber Acme tiles which gave the roof crisp, clean lines, whilst retaining the warmth and character associated with clay".

"The tiles offer roofers and specifiers a durable and versatile product which manages to combine a uniform shape that imparts regularity to roofs with the beauty of British sourced Etruria Marl clay".

"Diana Bullock, campaign manager at Marley Eternit, concludes: "It is important that our extensive clay plain tile range makes it easy for specifiers to match in new build and renovation projects like this one, whilst making it affordable".

"Clay is an increasingly popular material as housebuilders seek to create the traditional look". Request a free brochure from Marley Eternit ...
