Ethernet Direct Corporation, a professional and primary provider of Industrial Networking and communication solutions, introduces RUG-118, a slim Industrial Gigabit Media converter with SFP flexibility RUG-118 is the latest versatile slim Industrial converter from Ethernet Direct which offers hassle free media conversion between 10/100/1000BaseTX and 1000Base SX/LX/LHX/ZX

The RUG-118 supports 1000Base-SX and LX fiber connections by supporting our innovative Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) design to let you extend the transmission distance up to a maximum of 120 kilometers over single mode fiber and 550m over multimode fiber, under a speedy 1000 Mbps transmission to ensure high bandwidth and high reliability.

Ethernet Direct complies with open policy SFP by allowing you to freely choose any transceiver further to the Ethernet Direct SFP.

SFP comes in multimode or single mode option.

Single mode distances can go from 10km, 20km, 30km, 40km, 70km, 80km and 120km.

RUG-118 is a ready plug-and-play solution equipped with maximum protection and reliability.

IP-30 housing protection.

12V to 48VDC redundant power input.

Power Polarity Reverse Protection.

Overload Current Re-settable Fuse Present.

EFT protection 3000 VDC for power line.

Supports 4000 VDC Ethernet ESD protection.

Power relay output for Port alarm and event alarm.

To meet industrial standard, the compact metal housing can withstand wide operating temperature of -10 to 70 deg and extended temperature offering of -40 to 80 deg C.

This assures reliable operation in any given environmental condition.
