Turkington Windows 'A' rated for energy
efficiency

Turkington Windows and Conservatories has become one of the first Eurocell fabricators in Ireland to gain an 'A' rating on its windows.

The Belfast-based fabricator has over 20 years experience manufacturing and installing high quality windows, doors and conservatories using the Eurologik system They have built a strong reputation for excellence in customer service, resulting in 96 per cent of their customers willing to recommend the company to family and friends

Ian Young, General Manager at Turkington explains: "We looked at the ways we could differentiate our windows and the next step was to make them more energy efficient".

"Eurocell's technical team helped us in gaining the rating and the whole process was relatively straightforward, which meant we could quickly bring this exciting new offering to the market".

Homeowners that choose 'A' rated windows often do so to complement other sustainable products used in the home, such as solar panels and heat pumps.

Ian Young says: "It really is an effective method of reducing the carbon footprint of a home and minimizing energy bills".

"This enables homeowners to receive a double benefit by the fact it creates a more valuable property which pays dividends when they decide to sell".

Customer demand is predominantly for 'D' rated windows, but Turkington Windows and Conservatories is looking to make at least a 'C' rated window their standard offering, in a bid to improve energy efficiency and sustainability.

Ian explains: "Upgrading from a 'D' rated window to a 'C' rated is relatively straightforward, however it is a difference that will give our customers even more benefits".

Customers who have fitted the windows are already benefiting from more energy efficient homes and lower fuel bills.

In addition, many of them like the fact that the Low-E glass used in the windows helps keep heat in the home during winter whilst reflecting the suns rays out during summer to keep the interior pleasantly cool.

Turkington Window and Conservatory customers prefer the fully bevelled profiles on the Eurologik system because it creates a much slimmer frame and cleaner sight lines to give an attractive appearance inside and out. Request a free brochure from Eurocell Profiles ...
