Europanel is top of its class
Europanel Lite composite cladding panels have been used in the construction of a new sports centre at the Mark Hall Community School and Specialist Sports College, in Harlow.

The new GBP5.8 million sports complex, which includes a health and fitness centre, full size all weather floodlit football pitch and running track is used by the school, partner schools and is open for general community use.

Europanel helps transform '60s eyesore
Grey and silver composite steel panels from Eurobond are transforming Saville House, a 1960s warehouse in the heart of Sheffield.
With the aim that the sports centre will become a real asset to the local community, this was a key reason behind the system's specification.
Manufactured using a Rockwool mineral wool core, the system has also achieved Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) LPS 1181 Grade EXT-A and is fire resistant in accordance with BS476 Part 22.
Rockwool has also attained Euroclass classification A1, for non-combustibility.
Euroclasses arise from new classification systems for both the 'reaction to fire' and 'resistance to fire' performance of construction products and will provide a common method for comparing the performance of products in fire across the European Union.
Eventually around 80% of all construction products will need to be characterised for performance in fire in this way, which means the Europanel specification is already future proofed.
For public buildings such as this, superior fire performance was crucial - and by specifying a system with a non-combustible core, Mark Hall Community School has also acted in accordance with guidance offered by the recent Building Bulletin 100: Design for fire safety in schools.
In addition, Europanel has a proven low environmental impact.
Independent research shows that from 'cradle to cradle' the product has a carbon footprint significantly lower than that of any equivalent panel with a polyisocyanurate [PIR] core.
With the DfES encouraging designers to consider as many sustainability techniques as they can in the design of new schools or refurbishments, this was seen as another major advantage offered by the Europanel system.
Europanel can be part of a closed loop recycling process in that both the steel and mineral wool can be used to make new product.
With an increased focus on the disposal options available at the end of a building's useful life, Europanel is one of the only panel products that is totally recyclable, further minimising its overall environmental impact.
