Online guidelines to help smaller manufacturers of non-domestic cooling equipment understand their environmental obligations are launched.

Online guidelines to help smaller manufacturers of non-domestic cooling equipment understand their environmental obligations are launched today as research shows that many small equipment manufacturers have a low awareness of environmental legislation The guidelines on the NetRegs website - www.netregs.gov.uk - are designed to help smaller businesses understand the environmental legislation relevant to them using plain language

They are essential reading for anyone in England, Scotland and Wales working within the non-domestic cooling equipment industry, from the manufacture of retail refrigeration and freezer cabinets, air conditioning units and dehumidifiers, to process cooling equipment and heat pumps.

The guidelines are currently being developed to cover environmental law applicable to businesses in Northern Ireland.

The NetRegs website is free to visit, available 24 hours a day and anonymous as there is no need to register.

It has been set up by the UK's environmental regulators and contains information on mandatory obligations and advice on good environmental practice -which can help businesses save money and become more competitive.
