Special Finishing Plastic have developed a leak proof system for fixing a new bath installation.

1 in 3 baths and showers will leak within a 3 year period, the only time you will know it, is when you see the telltale staining on your ceiling.

This happened to me so many times that I decided that I would develop a leak proof extrusion that would solve the problem once and for all.

There are two main problems, they are that when a bath is filled, and/or a person enters the bath or shower, the weight depresses the bath or shower, thereby causing a gap between the bath/shower roll and the sealant or cover that has been used, allowing water to seep down to the floor, unless the bath roll is trapped between two surfaces.

Also if silicone is used as the main sealant this will eventually break down and need to be renewed.

This results in discoloration and an unsightly seal, especially if the tiles are hard down to the bath roll.

The extrusions are available as a cut to size kits with no waste, including all wall fitting to suit your installation situation, end caps and mitre covers, foam and double sided adhesive seals where required.

Or Per Metre, Or 3.6 metre lengths x 10 = 36 metres per pack.

Accessories to suit.

Summary:.

1] No visible silicon seal.

2] Corners mitred (for your convenience).

3] Mitre covers ( to cover up the mitred corners).

4] End Caps ( for a neat finish at the end of the extrusion) .

5] The bath cannot move vertically or horizontally.

6] Very little of the plastic extrusion is seen, no great lump of plastic showing.

Also it is the same size as tiling moulding, especially useful if you are replacing your existing bath.

7] The extrusion is edged with a very soft post formed rubber, this allows the extrusion to hug the bath and tiling providing a very close waterproof fit.

8] There are two flexible seals to the bath and tiling, 1st one stops heavy duty .

9] Because of the construction of the system, if you change your bath or bath colour only the top extrusion needs to be changed.

10] The seal does not rely on silicone or sticky tape to hold it in position.
