e-Xact launches document search facility

An e-Xact product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jul 1, 2009

e-Xact Online, the Industry Standard product information service, announces the launch of DocRetrieve, a document search facility.

CoSHH sheets, technical specifications, brochures, user installation guides and so on can now be tracked down through e-Xact's online facility, where it is possible to search by supplier, document type or by name.

With thousands of documents stored against the 200,000 plus products covered on e-Xact Online, the service has developed the DocRetrieve feature to make it easier for individuals and organisations to access the information they need.

With more than 50 document categories, these can take the form of spare parts lists, environmental policies, Agrement certificates, health and safety information and much more.

In addition, a textual search facility allows fast searching by word, part of a word or phrase, so that if you need information about a specific product you can just enter the name of it without having to find the appropriate product first.

With documents of any type so easily accessible, it has never been easier to find the information needed by buyers, sales office staff and customers for a product or manufacturer.

A document dating feature makes the service even more valuable and promotes confidence that the latest copy is listed.

Anyone viewing the information can see the document revision or created date and the date that it's 'currency' was last checked or updated.

With only relevant, industry-standard and up-to-date information available, using e-Xact to find the documents needed is quicker and easier than visiting individual websites or looking using an online search engine.
