Expamet Building Products announce its latest contract to supply Hy-Rib to Saudi Arabian Distributors, AA Turki Corporation.

The contract for 20,000 sheets of Hy-Rib, is for an ongoing development project taking place in the Holy cities of Makkah and Medina, close to the Red Sea port of Jeddah It follows on the back of an order last year for 40,000 sheets used in other projects in the Jeddah region of Saudi, and demonstrates the shear volume of construction work currently taking place in the Middle East; and the need for such highly acclaimed products as Hy-Rib

Managing Director, Nigel Dickinson says, "We are delighted with this latest order from Saudi.

Expamet has had a presence in the Middle East for well over 25 years and during that time has supplied many of its wide range of building products to projects in the area, but I have to say that we are now starting to see a marked increase in orders for Hy-Rib, and not just in the Middle East, but Worldwide".

Expamet's Hy-Rib was specifically developed in the 1960's for use as a permanent formwork for concrete stop-ends, slabs, retaining walls and columns, and has since been used in some of the world's most prestigious building projects including: Heathrow's new Terminal 5 building and the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.

This high performance product offers construction companies an alternative method of forming concrete joints without having to use the traditional methods of timber and ply-wood; which in a modern world are not seen as being environmentally friendly".
