Farrat Thermal Break Connection Plates are specially designed to act as thermal breaks between highly loaded internal and external steelwork connections.

Increasingly stringent legislation and the increasing focus on energy conservation means that cold / thermal bridging is becoming more of a concern Farrat Thermal Break Connection Plates (FTBC) are specially designed to act as thermal breaks between highly loaded internal and external steelwork connections (e.g cantilevered beams and balconies etc)

They are also being used in steel to concrete and concrete to concrete connections.

2 types are available: FTBC 330 with a maximum loading pressure of 338Nmm2 and compressive modulus of 12,411 MPa FTBC 260 with a maximum loading pressure of 260Nmm2 and compressive modulus of 2,600 MPa Both types are oil and moisture resistant, asbestos free, have a service lifetime in excess of 50 years and are rugged enough to withstand rough handling during installation.

They are supplied cut to shape with appropriate bolt holes pre-drilled for fast and easy installation on site.

Farrat Thermal Break Connection Plates are part of the noise and vibration isolation range of products focused towards the needs of the building design and construction industry.

Also available from Farrat are a comprehensive range of elastomeric vibration isolation materials (Neoprene, Nitrile, Cork and Recycled) for structural isolation, various floating floors, MandA / HVAC equipment isolators and isolated foundations.

Please contact Farrat for literature or more information on these products and for assistance in specification.
