Planning reforms will reduce the carbon
footprint
Federation of Master Builders welcomes Government's Planning White Paper, saying they will help first time buyers and those wanting to reduce the carbon footprint of their homes.
Commenting on the proposals, Brian Berry, Director of External Affairs, FMB, said: "Reforms to the planning system should be good news to those wanting to get on the housing ladder or carry out home renovations For far too long the planning system has been a hindrance to those most in need

The FMB welcomed the appointment of Nigel Griffiths as Construction Minister and highlighted three policy areas where rapid progress will be key.
"The current planning system is bureaucratic, inefficient and long-winded.
