Bungee Clamp allows the pipe freezers freeze head to be attached to the front of the pipe by simply feeding the cords around the back of the pipe.

Bungee Clamp Freeze Master invented their 1st electric pipe freezing machine over 20 years ago It was obvious that the plumbing industry needed a machine that would freeze a pipe without wasting its refrigerant into the atmosphere

Also the freezing head needed to be designed so that an engineer could attach it straight onto the front of a pipe without having to fit bulky freezing objects to the rear.

To do this the freeze head was designed with two strategically positioned refrigerant chambers in each freeze head running parallel to the water pipe to be frozen and located one each side of the pipe so the user only had to place the freeze head against the front of the pipe and the heat is extracted from each side.

Most pipes are installed on standard pipe clips, close to other pipes, possibly in the corner of the room but a lot of the time under floor boards against joists and in awkward positions in cupboards next to objects.

Freeze Master has always had a detachable clamp from the freeze head, so it could be removed if the pipe-work was in an awkward position.

The clamp chosen was a particularly flat G clamp design which would slide easily behind the back of the pipe when mounted on standard pipe clips.

This clamp fitted in most positions, even if pipes were run close together.

However general construction clamps have developed over recent years and there are now some smart easy action clamps; quick ratchet action, one handed and brightly coloured plastic clamps and so on.

Unfortunately none of these would fit behind a pipe clip or work as needed.

The flat G clamp originally chosen to allow optimum versatility was beginning to look dated.

In recent years it was felt that the unique electronic system, professionally built with precision engineered parts, required an improved clamping mechanism.

When the flat G clamps were no longer available, Freeze Master set about the task of designing a clamp that could still be detached from the freeze head for ultimate adaptability and would also fit the most awkward pipe positions.

The Bungee Clamp was created and added to the list of Freeze Masters inventions and patented items.

The Bungee Clamp allows the pipe freezers freeze head to be attached to the front of the pipe by simply feeding the cords around the back of the pipe.

The freeze head is then placed against the front of the pipe where the ice plug is required.

The engineer then simply pulls the cords and slots them into the clamp.

The Bungee Clamp is an ingenious invention in the way that it grips the cord.

It consists of a flat bracket with a U shape engineered on the top edge.

This slips neatly under the hose that delivers refrigerant to the freeze head.

On one side there are two holes through which the cord is fed to secure it into the bracket.

On the opposite edge there are two slots with specifically designed shapes and sizes which allow the bungee to be pulled through when stretched and lock when released.

Two cords running through the clamping system gives a much more secure fixing than a single strap or a single point of attachment, with each cord running near to each end of the freeze head.

The Bungee Clamp can be used with any make of pipe freezing machine on pipes up to 42mm outside diameter regardless of the freeze head shape or hose position.

At a recent exhibition, several engineers purchased the New Bungee Clamps for use with their existing pipe freezers.

95% of buyers were Freeze Master owners with one or two buying Bungee Clamps to improve the fixing system of different brands.
