A range of Forestry Commission statistical publications are issued as "National Statistics", on pre-announced dates.
* Over 13 thousand hectares of new woodland were created in Great Britain in the year to 31 March 2004.
* A total of 7.6 million cubic metres underbark of British timber (roundwood) was delivered to primary wood processors and others in 2003, an increase of 2% from the previous year.
