The changes will provide the Commission with powers: to enter into joint ventures with the private sector, and others, to enable the development of recreation facilities; to participate in projects with others for forestry purposes; to enable the commercial exploitation of the results of its research; and to amend the procedures relating to the enforcement of restocking notices.
A draft Order was laid following a 12-week public consultation period earlier this year.
The majority of the 26 responses supported the Commission's proposals and no amendments have been made to the consultation draft.
