A range of Forestry Commission statistical publications are issued as "National Statistics", on pre-announced dates.
The Trust wish to buy the 167 hectare Slewdrum Forest in the parish of Birse on Deeside.
The community in Birse recently voted in favour of the Trust's bid to buy the land.
The application will first be considered by an independent evaluation panel before a final decision on the sale of the land is made by Forestry Commission Scotland.
The Trust is one of the first community based applications to buy land under the National Forest Land Scheme.
Birse Community Trust wishes to re-develop Slewdrum into a sustainable native forest and to use part of the income from re-structuring the existing woodland to support the conservation of historic watermills in the parish and other community facilities.
The Trust's application can be found at www.forestry.gov.uk/nfls Forestry Commission Scotland welcomes any comments from the public on this application.
