Scotland hosts European heads of state
forestry
Heads of European state forestry organisations visited Perthshire to attend the 8th Conference of European State Forestry Organisations.
It was the first time Scotland had hosted the conference The three day event was co-ordinated by Forestry Commission Scotland and took place in Dunkeld
Delegates representing 18 European countries tackled key topics including sustainability, climate change and renewable energy.
On Thursday 7 June the delegates made an educational site visit to Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, Aberfoyle to examine how Forestry Commission Scotland is carefully managing the forest to achieve social, environmental and economic benefits.
