Survey of pubic opinion of forestry
Publication of preliminary results of survey of pubic opinion of forestry.
The Forestry Commission today published the preliminary reports for each of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland from its Surveys of Public Opinion of Forestry 2007, presenting public attitudes to forestry and forestry-related issues in the United Kingdom These reports draw on results from four omnibus surveys, one undertaken across the UK (providing the English results), and three others in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland

Forestry Commission Statistical Publications
A range of Forestry Commission statistical publications are issued as "National Statistics", on pre-announced dates.
The surveys, all undertaken in February and March 2007, posed questions to about 4000 adults in the UK survey (about 3300 in England), to about 1000 adults in each of the separate surveys undertaken in Scotland and Northern Ireland, and to about 950 adults in the Welsh survey.
They are available from www.forestry.gov.uk/statistics.

Final reports, charting the data and providing more detailed analysis by, for example, regions and demographic variables, will be published in October 2007.
