New editor for FTA freight magazine
Former Executive Editor of Commercial Motor Robin Meczes has been named as the new editor of the Freight Transport Association's monthly magazine Freight.

Since then he has written for a wide range of trade publications including Motor Transport, Truck and Driver, Commercial Vehicle Sourcing, Traffic Technology International, M-Logistics, Distribution, Logistics and Transport Focus, Logistics Manager, Logistics Europe, Storage Handling Distribution, Contract Journal and Works Management.
Robin has also contributed to special supplements on transport and logistics in both the Daily Telegraph and The Independent and has worked with FTA before on publications including the FTA Guide to Managing Drivers and the FTA Drivers' Handbook.
FTA Policy Director James Hookham said, 'We are delighted to have Robin on board, bringing to Freight many years of top level journalistic experience of the supply chain industry.
We have changed the range of communications between FTA and its members with the growth of new modes of electronic news delivery, and we now need to position Freight within that suite of information services so that it results in a comprehensive package of news and information for our members'.
Robin Meczes said, 'Freight and the FTA have a long history of respect from the transport and distribution industry for the quality of news and information they provide, which has proved a vital aid to running many a transport operation.
I intend to maintain and develop that tradition and am looking forward to this exciting new challenge.'.
