'Driver checks on vans and lorries' DVD

FTA has produced a ten minute DVD which demonstrates the reasons why efficient daily checks are so important before the vehicle leaves base.
The OCRS system - Operator Compliance Risk Score - used by VOSA as part of its enforcement process, means that commercial vehicle operators must be ever more vigilant in their maintenance regimes if they are to achieve the highest possible OCRS score, and thus the maximum level of legal compliance A key element in this process must be the role of the driver and his commitment to carrying out a daily inspection of his vehicle and completing efficient driver defect reports
